Xiao-Jun Wang is a postdoc in the Black lab at UCLA. She received her Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Peking University. She is interested in structures of protein complexes involved in RNA splicing, and she is studying the structures of the LASR (Large Assemble of Splicing Regulators) complex, PTBP1 repressed exon complexes and exon definition complex, and protein interaction within those complexes by cryoEM, MS and X-ray crystallography. Outside the lab, she likes cooking and traveling.
