Harry Taegyun Yang is a graduate student in the Xing Lab and Black Lab at University of California, Los Angeles. He received his B.S. in Biochemistry and Physiological Science from UCLA. He is working on developing a computational analysis framework to leverage large-scale transcriptomic data in cancer and normal tissues to identify causal molecular changes, including alternative splicing, in cancer development and progression. Also, he is interested in development of computational methods to elucidate important cancer processes via integrating genomic, epigenomic and transcriptomic datasets. Outside research, Harry enjoys contemporary art and photography, as well as music festivals.
